Seth Mason

Chestatee High School

Seth is a Senior who works at IMS Gear as a Machining Intern. Seth hopes to graduate from CHS and join IMS Gears Apprenticeship Program where he will work for IMS Gear and attend college at the same time (IMS GEAR PAYS). Seth has done a great job thus far networking, learning new technical skills and developing the needed employability skills to be successful in this industry. 

 

Seth’s mentor states that some of his major strengths are his ability to work with a  team, his  work ethic, attitude and punctuality.  Seth is also striving to earn his GeorgiaBEST Soft Skills Certification to help build his resume and his knowledge base. We are so proud of Seth and all he has done this year to help him be successful in his future.

IMS Gears

Andrew Crawford

Andrew Crawford is currently interning with the Baldwin Fire Department.  He plans to attend North Georgia Tech in the fall to earn his paramedic degree.  During his time with the Baldwin FD, Andrew has observed what it takes to be a fireman from accessing water supply for structure fires to responding to medical calls for chest pain.  In July he will be certified in Fire Fighter 1 and will start his EMT training. 

When asked about Work-Based Learning, Andrew stated “it has allowed me to jump start my future career.”  On a recent employer evaluation his mentor explained Andrew is a “self-starter, courteous and eager to do it right.”

Brian Robles

Brian is a Senior at FBHS.  He is an intern at Mundy Mill Dental in Oakwood, GA.  Brian is pursuing a career in dentistry.  Brian is also earning his Ga Best Elite Certificate. 

Dr. Mike Martin stated that “Brian is an excellent person to be around” and one of the “best interns he has had.” Great Job!  #wblworks

Anna Kate Buterworth

Anna Kate is a senior who interns at Free Chapel Worship Center. Her career goal is to enter the ministry, and she states that she wants to “expand my horizon of the field of work I want to go into through WBL.”

Anna Kate’s mentor had this to say: “Anna Kate is quick to respond to needs and has a willing attitude to help get things done. She sticks to a task until it is completed and has a willingness to learn new things.”

Mt. Vernon Elementary

Jon is currently an intern at Mt. Vernon Elementary School.  He is working on completing the
Teaching As A Profession Pathway and also participates in the Atlas program.   Mrs. Twiggs, John’s mentor, appreciates his assistance in the classroom.   John is also gaining valuable experience to help prepare him for a future career as a Teacher. He is a member of our Honor's Work-Based Learning morning cohort.

Carter Lott is a senior who currently works at Ozone Sports Complex. Carter does a great job juggling school, work and playing on the varsity baseball team. He is enrolled in the Sports Management pathway and is an excellent student.
