Karen Aguilar
Chestatee High School
Karen is a Senior at Chestatee High School and is an intern at Gainesville Physical Therapy and Lanier Village Estates. Karen does a great job managing her time between the two job placements. Karen’s internship at Gainesville Physical Therapy has helped her to decide what career she wants to pursue. Karen’s mentors state, “ Karen is extremely helpful and interested in the patients. She is very professional and appropriate. We are grateful to have her. Karen is a great worker, easy to work with and has a great attitude.” Karen is also striving to earn her GeorgiaBEST soft skills certification. We are so proud of Karen and how she represents the War Eagle Way at work and at school! Keep up the good work Karen.
Gainesville Physical Therapy
Andrew Crawford
Andrew Crawford is currently interning with the Baldwin Fire Department. He plans to attend North Georgia Tech in the fall to earn his paramedic degree. During his time with the Baldwin FD, Andrew has observed what it takes to be a fireman from accessing water supply for structure fires to responding to medical calls for chest pain. In July he will be certified in Fire Fighter 1 and will start his EMT training.
When asked about Work-Based Learning, Andrew stated “it has allowed me to jump start my future career.” On a recent employer evaluation his mentor explained Andrew is a “self-starter, courteous and eager to do it right.”

Brian Robles
Brian is a Senior at FBHS. He is an intern at Mundy Mill Dental in Oakwood, GA. Brian is pursuing a career in dentistry. Brian is also earning his Ga Best Elite Certificate.
Dr. Mike Martin stated that “Brian is an excellent person to be around” and one of the “best interns he has had.” Great Job! #wblworks

Ana Avila
Ana is a senior who interns in the Spa at Chateau Elan. She has finished the Personal Care Services Pathway and desires to continue her study of Esthetics after high school.

Ana’s mentor indicated that Ana has strong multi-tasking skills and great intuition concerning tasks, customer service and follow through. She is developing a clear understanding of guests’ needs in a luxury environment in the hospitality industry.

Madeline is a Senior who is currently employed at Belk!

Madeline has taken IB courses and different CTAE courses while trying to figure out her future plans. She first joined WBL to accommodate a part-time job.
​
Capitalizing on her good “people skills” she decided to work at Belk over the holidays. Madeline was one of a few employees offered a permanent job after Christmas.

Carter Lott is a senior who currently works at Ozone Sports Complex. Carter does a great job juggling school, work and playing on the varsity baseball team. He is enrolled in the Sports Management pathway and is an excellent student.
