STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Fashion Ten
Kylee Osteen
Cherokee Bluff High School
Kylee is a Junior who works at Fashion Ten retail store. Her goal is a career in Marketing, and she is gaining valuable experience working with the public as a Sales Associate. Kylee exhibits excellent employability skills and always goes above and beyond what is asked of her.

​Kylee’s mentor states “Kylee is a very responsible, hard-working person. She is pleasant to be around and does her job well. She is approachable and works well with a team. We are happy to have her!”
Bianca is a Junior and is a first year student in the Work-Based Learning Program. Bianca is a Healthcare Intern at Sardis Enrichment school where she is being mentored by, Julie Evans, the schools’ nurse. At her internship Bianca assists with hearing and vision testing, paperwork, medicine distribution, first-aide, and other patient care duties. Bianca will complete the Emergency Medical Responder pathway this year and has already completed the Patient Care Pathway. Nurse Evans states, “ Bianca has been a big help this year in the clinic. I am thankful to have her and I know she will make a great nurse one day!”

Kinsley Fry
Kinsley is a senior WBL student employed with Lula Pharmacy. Kinsley has not decided completely on a career goal but wants to do something she loves while helping others.
When asked about her experience with Work-Based Learning, Kinsley stated “WBL is a great way to become more responsible and widen your experience.”
Kinsley has learned “to always do your best even when you think no one is watching and that doing your best is the best you can do.”

Lauren Latimer
Lauren is the Work-Based Learning Student of the Month for February! She is a Senior and is currently interning in the Early Childhood Education Afterschool program at the Branch. Lauren created Valentine’s Day cookie decorating kits to fundraise for FCCLA. Her innovation paid off and it was a huge success!!

Lauren continues to show leadership and motivation to learn. She was selected as a CTE OUTSTANDING STUDENT 2021!
Lauren is also working to earn the Elite Georgia Best Certificate!

Landon Ramos
Landon has shown much dedication and responsibility this school year as he has grown both personally and professionally.
Through the pandemic this past year, Landon has worked over 30 hours a week AND maintained his grades in all of his academic classes. As a virtual student, this isn’t easy to do!
Landon is a pathway completer in Agricultural Mechanics and is eager to jump-start a career upon graduation in May. His work ethic, professional skill set, and dedication stand out among his peers. We are so proud of you Landon!

Frances Meadows Aquatic Center
Thomas has completed the Biotechnology Research & Development pathway and is working on earning his Georgia BEST Certification. He is employed as a lifeguard at Frances Meadows Aquatic Center where he is also certified to teach lifeguarding classes.
Thomas’s mentor states that “Thomas is a self-starter. He never needs to be told what to do. He just sees what needs to be done and does it. Thomas is an asset to our team and our facility as a whole.”

Chloe Radich
Chloe is a Work-Based Learning intern at Benchmark Physical Therapy in Oakwood. She is a student in the Healthcare Science Pathway. Chloe plans to pursue a career in Occupational Therapy.
