Nick Velez
Nick works at Burger King and is an excellent example of a quality employee. Nick's supervisor says he regularly outworks his peers and is an example to those twice his age.

Nick is also working toward his Elite GA Best Certification. His assignments are always turned in on time and he is a top notch WBL student!

Bowen interns at Specialty Clinics of Georgia- Orthopedics, PC where she works alongside doctors and nurses to sort medical records, assist with patient care, take vital signs and gain an overall better understanding of this profession.
​
Bowen is a Senior in the Honors WBL Program. She will complete the Allied Health and Medicine Pathway this year. Bowen’s mentor states, “Bowen is one of the best interns we have had. She is punctual, a quick- learner and great communicator. We are happy to have her working with our team.”

Melanie Perez
Melanie is a Senior at East Hall High School and works with the Hall County nurse. Working with the nurses, Melanie gets to help with vision screenings at all the elementary schools in Hall County. She also helps with other healthcare related functions for the county.

After high school, Melanie wants to attend college and her ultimate goal is to one day be a Judge.

Bradley Turpin
Bradley is a senior at FBHS and he interns at Davis Middle School and Works at Walmart in Oakwood.
​
He recently participated in Service Learning Day and served as a mentor in a middle school classroom. Bradley is also an officer in FCCLA.
​
He is a hard worker and he is gaining real world experience in Education!
Bradley continues to show leadership, resiliency and motivation to learn.
He is also working to earn the Elite Georgia Best Certificate through WBL!

Tatiyana Pucket
Sonic
Tatiyana has worked hard this year in her academics while working 30-40 hours a week at Sonic. She earned her ServSafe Culinary certificate and was promoted within 6 months of starting her job to a shift manager.
Tatiyana always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude. In addition, her work ethic is to be applauded! She never misses school or work and strives to be “better today than she was yesterday”.
Upon high school graduation, Tatiyana wants to attend UNG or Brenau University and pursue the field of education. She would love to teach either elementary or high school.

Alexis Pittman
Graceful Care
Alexis is a junior studying healthcare and nutrition. She has completed the Nutrition and Food Science pathway and will complete the EMR pathway this year. Alexis is also an active member of NHHS HOSA where she is gaining valuable experience to prepare her for a career in medicine.

Alexis interns as an administrative assistant at the HCSD Central Office where she gets to work with school nurses. Her mentor states she is "mature beyond her years, organized, intuitive and always ready to take on a new project." In addition to this internship, Alexis also holds a part time job.

Trojan Trader
Ashton is a respectful, hardworking student and employee. She likes to stay on top of her assigned duties and gives 110% in all she does. She always keeps a positive attitude and her willingness to help others goes above and beyond.
Ashton works as The Trojan Trader Store Manager at North Hall High.

Germin is a Work-Based Learning intern at Mencom Oakwood. He is interested in pursuing a career in the manufacturing sector and is one of the most driven students I have had the privilege to teach.
