“My career goal is to become a clinical psychologist, of course in order to become a psychologist you have to be good with people. This WBL experience has helped me step out of my comfort zone when it comes to talking to others and trying new things. Before this I would be afraid to say hello to people, hold a conversation, or even ask a simple question now, I love interacting with people! It has also given me a head start in making sure I’m career ready by teaching me how to be punctual, responsible, hardworking, and much more! Honestly, without this program I probably wouldn’t even know where to start after high school!”

Congratulations!

Zach Mullinax

Zach Mullinax, a junior at LCCA, is a star student in the field of Agriculture Mechanics and Welding.  Zach started attending LCCA his freshman year as a part-time student and immediately realized the Agriculture industry was his passion.  That same year, he transferred to Lanier as a full-time student and led the charge in his basic agriculture classes.  As a sophomore, Zach attended welding classes at Lanier Technical College via a grant.  This “sealed” his interest and now he is a dual enrollment welding student with Lanier Technical College.

Zach is also involved with FFA and SkillsUSA, serving as an officer in these career tech student organizations. Zach will continue to take dual enrollment classes his senior year and hopes to secure an apprenticeship position with one of LCCA’s industry partners in mechatronics.

We are excited to see your skills at work and how WBL has opened the doors for career opportunities.
                   Congratulations Zach!!
