Atlanta Rehab & Therapy Performance

Dean Wall

Dean is  a physical therapy intern at Atlanta Rehabilitation and Therapy Performance Center. He gets a front row seat in a PT clinics day-to-day operations. 

​

Dean has a career goal of working in physical therapy and is a part of the Honors Work-Based Learning program.

Taylor Preston

Taylor Preston is a Senior who interns in a First grade class at Lula Elementary School.  Her career goal is to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education.  She wants to be a First Grade teacher, this internship is giving her great experience and insight into her future goals.  She is being able to learn firsthand what it requires to be an elementary school teacher. 

​

In the short time Taylor has been interning, she has learned to be a teacher you have to have patience.  She is very thankful for this opportunity to be able to experience what it takes to be an elementary school teacher, while being high school student.

Brianna Hall

Brianna is the Work-Based Learning Student of the Month for August!  She is a Senior and is currently interning at Dr. Richard Collin’s Chiropractic office in Buford.  Brianna has been working the front office since summer and is doing a great job there.  Her internship is paid and she is gaining real world experience!!

​

Brianna continues to show leadership and motivation to learn. Brianna is also working to earn the

Elite Georgia Best Certificate through WBL!

Lexi’s internship is with Longstreet Clinic in the Neuroscience and Orthopedic Center.  She is helping out and shadowing in different departments and her supervisor says she is a great student intern. Lexi wants to work in pediatrics,  someday.  Currently, she is completing the Allied Health and Medicine Pathway.

      Lexi does a good job managing her schoolwork, internship, and competition cheer schedules.

ViriDiana Simental works with Rumba Latina as a loan officer and has been employed with the company since Spring of 20019.   She is a senior this year, graduating May of 2020! 

Her boss continuously gives her marks of EXCELLENCE across the board with soft skills and the daily tasks that must be completed to efficiently run a business.

Jaden Waldrop

Honeysuckle Hills Farm

Jaden is a senior returning for her second year in Work-Based Learning. She has successfully completed the Agriculture Leadership in Animal Production pathway and is currently serving as Vice President of North Hall FFA.

 

Jaden is a role model for her peers and consistently displays positive attitude and willingness to learn.   She works as a farm hand at Honeysuckle Hills Farm and aspires to work in the equine or livestock industry and run her own barn some day.

North Hall Ace Hardware

Carson is a senior here at North Hall High School. He works as a Salesman/Cashier at the North Hall Ace Hardware.

 

After speaking with Carson’s employers I have chosen him to be my student of the month because he goes above and beyond for others. He is very hardworking, respectful and willing to help anyone in need without being asked. His employers spoke so highly of him and I am so proud of the way he is representing North Hall and Work-Based Learning.

West Hall High School

Evan McNeal is a Senior at West Hall High School.  After high school Evan plans to pursue a career as a commercial airline pilot.  He is currently working with School Nutrition where his supervisor, Sandy Cantel, says he does a great job.  Evan is always looking to help out and loves giving back to his school and community.
